For Families

Mom, dad, there is nothing to do!

You must have certainly heard this statement! Most probably, you have even said so yourself! In fact, this complaint may not be as much about being bored as about the lack of company. First, we ask what others have to offer and we then invite them to play or make things together. After all, it is great if we can spend some time together! We hope that this booklet will help to bring families and friends together. As you make the games or toys described here, you will get involved in various activities and have fun. The idea of the booklet came around when a total lockdown was announced in Lithuania in the spring of 2020. Then, for 45 days in a row, on its Facebook page the Toys' Museum kept posting suggestions about various activities for families spending time at home. This booklet is about games and toys that we ourselves enjoyed making and playing. Now we invite you to try them out and create your own variations.

Toys and Games Guide

What games have we played, and what do children play today in Lithuania? It is a project of virtual guide to collect a list of games and toys known for us countrymen. We invite them to comment, share memories and their childhood pranks.
