Works by students of the VDA Design Department “Simple design sheet toys“
From 2 February 2022 to 31 March 2022, a new exhibition will be presented at the Museum.
Every year, the Museum of Toys organises a lecture for first-year the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA) students on the history of toys, play and play equipment. It's great fun to meet and discuss with future design professionals, and then to see the young creators' first works.
This exhibition, organised in collaboration with the VDA Design Department, features the work of eight students. We invite you to explore, to admire the aesthetic image, to think if you have seen, touched or played with something similar.
Teacher of the course: Assoc. Prof. Barbora Adamonytė-Keidūnė.
Works presented by: Greta Vengalytė, Ignas Žakas, Matas Maldutis, Laura Simutytė, Agnė Ašmontaitė, Emilija Grudzinska, Annette Abdrashitova, Maryia Barayeva.
Annotation: A portable (compact, easy to carry, etc.) or stationary (space-saving, storable, etc.) toy with a sheet structure is developed.
Materials: the material used should encourage creative reuse rather than throwing away, e.g. cardboard, recycled materials, plastic sheets, wood veneer etc. (not thick and hard sheets). Objects must be manufactured.
