Educational workshop
WAX, THE GOLD OF LITHUANIAN WOODS

Duration: up to 40 min. You will learn why wax was deservedly called the gold of the woods of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, what it was used for, where and how it was transported and why it was loved in Europe. You will also model your own fragrant wax figurine and will together stage a short play with wax figurines. Good for children over 3, if helped by their parents. Best enjoyed by children who can already sculpt figurines.

Educational workshop
ANCIENT DOLLS

Duration: up to 45 min. If you have some old patches of fabric or unused yarn at home, bring them with you! If not, we have lots of workshop materials at the museum. Choose your favourite colours and make simple but unique dolls. Will you make a Raggedy Ann or a Dulcinea del Toboso or the beautiful Helen of Greece? You will be able to dress them as you will and play at our very own doll theatre.

Illustrated story for children
THE LEGEND OF THE DREAM OF GRAND DUKE GEDIMINAS

Duration: up to 40 min. Do you know the beautiful legend about the founding of Vilnius? We will tell it to you and you will be able to reconstruct it together with us. Beautiful illustrations made by artists Ramunas Grazelis are projected on the wall and we will be able to choose which horse Grand Duke Gediminas rode, what woods he crossed, what weather it was on the day, etc. All will depend on your mood and your wishes. Whichever way the story goes, Vilnius will be built!
